Hot Pants

[Listening to: Duende - Delerium - Karma (Disc 1) (5:22)]

This morning on the way to work I witnessed a disturbing sight. Before me at the roundabout was a gent riding a bicycle in turquoise lycra hotpants. Now I'm not sure if it was the colour of the cut, but this sort of thing just shouldn't be allowed. It's not so much the sight of lycra on men, that disturbs me, but the sheer audacity of such a short cut of lycra. Hotpants should be relegated to the domain of under 25 females with a really hot figure and then only at a nightclub or a rave where the culture of drooling men can fully appreciate it. Proper cycling pants on men is fine, as long as they are a serious cyclist with more than 1000 km clocked up on the odometer. For the cycling ameteurs, go for the baggy cotton pants or best of all a set of mountain biking pants.

Never, never though, hotpants on a bicycle, and never in turquoise. It makes you look like you are having a cheap attempt at trying out homosexuality for the first time. It's the kind of thing that the average Australian Bogan would think would be required to get the average gay guy into the sack. If I was gay, and saw this thing coming, I would throw up violently.

Anyway, rant over for the day.

It's been a long time since I've posted on Dark Thoughts. Initially I had some problems with my ISP not allowing ftp transfers, and then I couldn't get blogspot happening. This is only the temporary home of Dark Thoughts, which will move to my new web-space, once my ISP gets everything sorted for me.

Since last time, Jodie has been down to visit, and sadly left again. I've been to Mongolia and been frozen to within an inch of my life, and am preparing for a return journey to Mongolia and Turkey.

I've release ONYX and it seems to be selling well, and I'm in the process of upgrading my studio to mLAN and fully balanced cables.

Work is hectic as all of our projects are progressing well. Our new website is up at http://pacificore.com.au if you are interested in what I do for a day job.

Other than that, I'm toying with the idea of using this blog to start on a novel of sorts. I've had a fantastic idea for a sci-fi/conspiracy story and with my upcoming sting in Turkey may pursue writing of it during my evenings, when it will be too late to ring my beloved back here in Australia. It'll help me cope with being so far from home for so long. I'll probably intersperse it with writing Kurzweil tutorials and beta-testing some new control software that some guy is writing for the Kurzweil synths.

Anyway, It's a brief one today, because work is really flat out, and I need ot get back to it.

Stay tuned for my attempt at literature in the near future.
