Dark Thoughts

Well, I'm still here.

Things are going well, and I'm smiling.

I'm still hovering around 99kg, which is a bit frustrating, though admittedly I haven't been at the gym quite as much these last 2 weeks as before, but I have been doing an awful lot of digging in the garden as an alternative. The garden is starting to look a bit better, though it's a battle with the cats to see if they can pollute my paving sand before I can get the pavers down. I'm thinking a trailerload of zeolite might be worthwhile to reduce any odours.

I've removed a lot of grass from about 50% of the yard, installed the cabling for the retic, and a new gate. My housemate has been helping out where he can, though to date, it's really been a bit of a token effort. He's got a few days off this week, and hopefully he'll get his but into gear and get the retic finished.

I'd like to order the pavers this weekend, and get them delivered in the next week, so that I can spend a few days getting a lot of the paving done.

I haven't done any music in a while. I'm feeling a bit hamstrung by the studio situation, what with mLAN still playing up. I got a little start on a new sound the other night, and may use it as the basis of a new song. It's using a few Kurzweil only features (such as multiple lazerverbs) and it morphs and changes quite a bit. Finding time has been tricky, between work, and getting the house finished. The priority at the moment is to get the yard done, and then move back to my other house in the Perth Foothills.

Speaking of houses, I bought another one the other day. I'm not sure if I've talked about this here before, but it's a great house, in Busselton, near the beach. I've just got to decide how I'm going to rent it out, but I need to find some time to get it all sorted. I've got a bit of time, while I await finance approvals and settlement, but I'd like to get it rented for the holiday season, if at all possible.

Anyway, lots of work to do today.
