Almost a month

[Listening to: Old flame - The Church - Priest Equals Aura (1:36)]

And what an action packed month it has been.

My life has been a blur of activity as I in the midst of 2 renovations and have been busy on repairs of my new house in lovely Busselton. I managed to crash Jodie's Car, which is going to take 3 weeks to fix, and has necessitated me driving my ute to work, which is a major hassle for parking.

Renovations are progressing though. Jodie and I are moving away from the current property into a property out near the vineyards in the Swan Valley. The property wasn't in particularly good condition when we arrived, and many things have been fixed, but we've still got a way to go. We have painted the master bedroom and should finish up the main living area tomorrow afternoon, just in time for the big move on Sunday.

We are planning on completely gutting the kitchen and expanding it somewhat. There are a few design flaws with the current design making it a particularly squishy and pokey affair, but our plans should open it up substantially and maximize our use of the space.

Renovations have been progressing at the house that I'm moving out of, with the paving all but finished. I've got about 20 bricks to put in and the edges need to be cemented in place before the garden beds are finalized. Some painting is required, and the carpet in the master bedroom needs to be replaced. We are also going to put air conditioning in to this house, so there's still a bit of work required before we can rent it out, but that is the plan.

The extended vacancy's is puting a bit of a squeeze on cashflow though. Currently I've only got 1 of the 4 houses tennanted, which is a problem, but that will ease soon, when the reno's are finished, and my new property is tennanted.

We are having real problems finding tradesmen at the moment. I need to install 2 lights on the wall of the master bedroom before we paint the feature wall, but finding one is really, really tricky. I think I've lined one up, but I'm not sure exactly when they will be able to get the job done.

In other news, my new website is under development. You can find it at http://www.godlike.com.au You can also surf to this blog by typing in http://puppeteer.godlike.com.au which may be a bit easier to type in to your browser.

Have done no music for a while. I've got some sound programming to do for some Van Halen sounds, for a client, and hopefully I can get these sorted out in the next few weeks.

Otherwise for your entertainment here's some links

The Darth Side Blog - A great laugh. Have a read of the pdf for the full thing.

Industrial Radio - My favourite podcast, and great supporter of independent music. Highly recommended.

Till next time.
