Wow - where to start.
It's been a long time since I posted, and lots has happened. I've moved house, started on 2 renovations, got myself engaged and lots of other stuff.
Moving house has been a long, slow and painful experience. I am moving out of one house and into another. Both the original and destination house are being renovated, so living out of boxes is cruel and painful, but it will be worth it in the long term. The paving at the old house is all but finished, the gardens are in, and the painting started. We are awaiting some finance to come through so that we can get new carpets, window fittings and light fittings installed. A load of mulch is required, and some serious cleaning, but then we can get this house rented out.
The new house is being painted, one room at a time. We have bought the new light fittings, though we are awaiting an electrician to install them. It's nigh on impossible to find electricians at the moment in Perth. Everyone is booked out for months in advance, and none of them even want to put us on a waiting list, but I think we have at long last found one. The painting is looking absolutely fantastic. A much better job than I initially thought we were capable of, but the results have been well worth the hard work.
The really big news of course is my engagement to Jodie. We got a fantastic ring designed with a passion 8 diamond and a couple of sapphires, set in platinum. Before anyone asks, yes I did the proper thing and got down on one knee for the proposal, which she accepted. The big date is April 14th 2007 which gives us some time to sort out the wedding plans. We've started looking at venues and photographers, and started puting together the guest list, but lots of work ahead of us.
I haven't done any music for a while, but I'm in the process of getting the studio set up in it's new home. I got a new computer after the last one had a caffeine overdose, and it seems to be running pretty well, except for the dodgy internet connection here at work, but ya can't have everything.
At least we've now got broadband at home, and a wireless link, which really makes surfing the net pretty damn good. We can sit on our comfy lounge chairs with the laptop and get to surfin.
Anyway, I've got heaps of work to do, so I'll post more when I get some more time, but for those of you who follow this blog (and I know there are a few of ya's), you all know what's up.
