Dark Thoughts

Does the door swing both ways?
Once we are gone can we return?
Wouldn't it be nice to know?

But that would defeat the purpose of living.
It would make death uneventful, and,
Unexciting...

It would be like trying something for the first time
But already knowing what will happen.
Death is supposed to be a mystery!

But I wonder,
Is life a mystery to those on the other side?
Are we trapped in a cycle?

Does the door swing both ways?
Once we come can we go?
Wouldn't it be nice to know?
